Friendly Campus

In 2012, Dingpu was honored as an excellent school in Character Education in Banqiao District. Wu, Mu-Shu, the candidate principal from Dingpu, was double certified as meritorious person in student affairs by New Taipei City and the Ministry of Education. These are the proof of our effort and achievement in developing a friendly campus.

Dingpu also gives an ongoing impetus to be a healthy school. Besides the various grade-suitable physical competitions, there is a road running race to Miao-Jue Temple held for the graduates to examine the result of their six years of physical training. The tireless efforts made by students are the best to show themselves how to achieve on the road of life.

Sustainable Environment

The overture of sustainable environment has been activated through the rainwater tank and disaster prevention and rescue exercises. Under the planning of every principal, our natural campus contains a mountain, water and tree houses. We have also published a book, Dingpu Flowers and Plants Feast, for teaching purpose. The game “Monopoly” helps students memorize the characters and names of plants through playing it.

Curriculum Development

Both our campus arrangement and curriculum development follow the structure of our school-based curriculum, which emphasizes “Health, Innovation and Humanity”. Every year, the corresponding teaching activities are designed for every single grade to guide students’ learning.

Instruction and Assessment

The peer supervision program has been promoted to create a friendly atmosphere where teachers could help each other through classroom observation, feedbacks and focused discussions. We hope our teaching skills could be refined through teaching and learning.

General Teaching and Remedial Teaching

Our teachers have won many awards, including the Language Contests and the Lesson Plan Design Competitions held by the Department of Education, New Taipei City Government. Many teachers devote themselves to the after-school classes, and use their own time to help students improve their learning. Dingpu therefore was awarded the especially excellent school in the evaluation of remedial teaching in the year 2012.
